Slide into a circus role

The romance of the circus will be headlining Slide Bar’s latest foray into entertainment.

El’Circo, a new show every Friday at the Oxford Street club, will explore the wonder, mystery and excitement of the circus.

Show creative director Marc Kuzma said El’Circo would bring a new style of entertainment to the Oxford Street strip – combining a sit-down meal with cutting-edge performance.

“Marrying top-notch cuisine, fine wines and cutting edge entertainment, El’Circo is a night like no other in Sydney,” he said.

“Every evening of El’Circo, every performance must be delighting, engaging, and unique in every way. How? That’s up to our suite of talented performers, whose job it is to tingle and enliven every one of your senses.

“We’ve scoured the nation’s top art and drama colleges and hand-picked a talented cast of singers, performance artists, musicians and DJs we are truly proud to call our own.”

Kuzma said audience involvement would play a key role in the success of El’Circo.

“Theatre here isn’t bound by a stage, or curtailed by a catwalk,” he said.

“If nothing else, El’Circo is about reawakening desires you’ve always had, only now the whole room is an actor, a stage, and a standing ovation.

“For our artists, El’Circo is the most challenging and creative space they’ve had to work in.

“We’ve taken special care to create a space for you to feel at home, feel free, take part, go wild and enjoy the experience.”
