Sydney Life on show

Martin Mischkulnig’s Ingrid hanging her aprons was one of the photographs to be displayed in Hyde Park last year as part of the Sydney Life photographic exhibition.

The park is once again to become an outdoor art gallery with the City of Sydney calling for entrants for the 2007 Sydney Life exhibition.

Last year 800 images were submitted by 410 photographers for consideration.

This year’s 26 winning shots will be blown up to grace the beautiful grand central walkway of Hyde Park North.

Lord mayor Clover Moore said the Sydney Life prize, valued at over $10,000, will be awarded to the most outstanding work in the exhibition.

Artists are invited to submit works that make an original and contemporary statement about life in Sydney. The deadline is 3 July and a full brief can be found at www.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au/artandabout or by calling 9265 9254. The exhibition runs during October.
