Shuttlecocks will by flying next month as Melbourne’s queer badminton club shapes up for its first ever tournament at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre.
The Melbourne Smashers will be hosting a singles and doubles competition on October 13 with an estimated six games for each player/duo.
The competition is open to B and C grade players and will be played out in round robin and knockout stages.
Doubles partners allocated on the day.
Gay Badminton Melbourne is a social club open to gay men and women of any age and grade and play every Thursday at the MSAC from 7.30-9.30pm.

The tournament will be held on Saturday, October 13, 9am-3pm at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre.
