Sports sign up for festival
Melbourne’s queer sporting community will join forces during the Midsumma Festival to offer a wide selection of activities.
The Midsumma Sports Day will feature guidance from experts in ballroom dancing, rugby, running, swimming, soccer, volleyball and water polo. Queer teams such as the Melbourne Chargers, Frontrunners, Glamourhead Sharks, Rovers, and Spikers will participate.
There will also be a sausage sizzle followed by social drinks and dinner.
People interested in sports not taking part in the event are encouraged to attend and chat with like-minded people in an attempt to grow Melbourne’s queer sporting options.
The Midsumma Sports Day kicks off at 9am on January 22 at the South Yarra Sports Centre.
