Xchange renovations revealed

The Xchange Hotel celebrated its grand re-opening in style last week, unveiling its new and improved interior.

At a special invitation opening, new Prahran Liberal MP Clem Newton-Brown officially re-opened the Commercial Rd gay venue.

It has new rooms including Pamela’s Place – named after the Baywatch babe who visited the venue earlier this year – and the Boom Boom Room main showroom. The front bar has also had a makeover with two pool tables for punters.

The three rooms lead into a revamped Tuscan-style courtyard, just in time for hot summer nights.

Coffee lovers can also rejoice as the X Cafe will soon be launched so party-goers can enjoy a cappuccino after a few drinks.

Owner Kevin Atwood told the Star Observer he was proud of the changes and is looking forward to people dropping in to check out the new surroundings.

“We’re really pleased with it,” he said. “The Boom Boom Room will be banging.”
