All aboard the Rainbow Express: your colourful, joy‑filled journey to Rainbow Festival Orange 2026! This special return experience includes economy travel from Sydney to Orange, departing Friday 6 March at 7:15am and arriving at 12:05pm, with the return service leaving Sunday 8 March at 3:50pm and arriving back in Sydney at 8:45pm. The train will stop at Strathfield, Parramatta, Blacktown, Penrith, Katoomba and Mount Victoria if you are unable to get to Central.
Your adventure begins the moment you step onboard. Enjoy lively entertainment hosted by our fabulous drag queen MC, featuring Drag Bingo, music, laughs and plenty of sparkle. Guests will be welcomed with a glass of local Orange sparkling wine and receive a selection of festival goodies to start the weekend in style.
Once in Orange, you’ll be free to explore the vibrant Rainbow Festival fringe events, including the beloved Rainbow Community Walk on Saturday 7 March (3:00pm–6:00pm). Your evening continues with the high‑energy Pride Party from 6:00pm–midnight, hosted by the iconic Haus of Drag Bingo. Your festival adventure truly begins on the Rainbow Express.
Unfortunately, this particular train carriage isn’t accessible due to design limitations. There is, however, an accessible carriage on board if you need those facilities. You can visit Transport for NSW to purchase a ticket.
The promoter is Out Publications (ABN 41 634 037 175) of PO Box 843 Broadway 2007 (Promoter).
The promotion opens at 12:00am AEDT on 10 February 2026 and closes at 11:59pm AEDT on 24 February 2026 (Promotion Period).
Entry is open to residents of New South Wales aged 18 years or over at the time of entry.
Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of the Promoter and any agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
Entry is free. No purchase or payment is required.
To enter, eligible entrants must subscribe to the Promoter’s free email newsletter during the Promotion Period via the official competition entry form.
Entrants may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. Unsubscribing after entry does not
invalidate an entry.
Only one entry per person is permitted.
The prize consists of two (2) tickets to the Rainbow Express: The Colourful Ride to Rainbow Festival Orange 2026, including:
The prize does not include accommodation, meals (other than those expressly stated), transfers outside the stated train journey, travel insurance, or any other incidental expenses.
The Promoter discloses that the specific Rainbow Express carriage included in the prize is
not accessible due to design limitations. An accessible carriage may be available on the train but is not included as part of the prize.
Entrants are responsible for assessing whether the prize meets their accessibility requirements prior to entry.
Prize dates and travel times are fixed and cannot be changed.
The prize is not transferable, not exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash.
If the winner is unable to attend on the specified dates, the prize will be forfeited and a redraw may occur.
The winner will be drawn at random on Wednesday 25 February 2026 at midday AEDT.
The winner will be notified by email within 2 days of the draw.
If the winner does not respond within 3 days of being notified, the Promoter reserves the right to conduct a redraw.
A permit is not required for this promotion under New South Wales law as the total prize pool is under AUD $10,000.
