Community group Rainbow Families will be joining others around the globe in celebrating the unique contribution made by diverse families.
The rainbow flag will be flown for one week in place of the Australian flag for next month’s International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia.
“Improving the visibility of lesbians cannot be achieved in one day. It must be part of a broader effort.”
Through a range of programs and partnerships, ACON is working hard to ensure LGBTI people feel included and supported wherever they may live, work, study, or play.
It was flown alongside the rainbow, trans, and bisexual pride flags to celebrate IDAHOBIT on Friday.

Hundreds of students will throw paint-filled balloons at the station today to create an explosion of colour in celebration of LGBTI communities.
