Victorian Labor has reached out to Melbourne’s pre-existing pride festival Midsumma to see if they can play a role in the development of the proposed street party.
Responding to a survey, Labor didn’t go far enough to end religious discrimination in public services, while the Opposition’s silence on many of the issues put forward to them was “deafening”.

Over the weekend a motion condemning “radical gender ideology” was unanimously supported at the party’s state conference.

Reports have suggested that fellow City of Sydney councillor Kerryn Phelps is also considering a tilt at the seat as an independent.
Last year Morrison was adamant that it was “okay to say No”.
