Young LGBTIQ+ Victorians have agreed that sex education should be standardised throughout all schools, or taught by a funded external provider, so that everyone is receiving the same up-to-date information.
The 31-page teaching guide also insists that transgender communities only exist to be “provocative” against “traditional frameworks”.
It also leads to positive mental health outcomes for LGBTI students.

Almost one in five gay and bisexual men in Melbourne have experienced it.
“Consideration should be given to the inclusion within curriculums of LGBT specific sexual health issues and the presentation of LGBT relationships without distinction as to their heterosexual counterparts,” the draft report reads.
“I told [the doctor] my sexuality wasn’t just a t-shirt that I’ve put on and her response was, ‘That doesn’t make any sense… I used to treat you when you were little.'”
The Prime Minister said John Howard’s suggestion is not being considered.
