Night owls find a home
Sophisticates with a penchant for the bewitching hours now have an aptly stylish and artistic space to haunt, as the Opera House launches its Late Night Lounge.
The monthly event will bring together the finest in local and international cabaret and musical theatre stars in a lush soiree setting.
Australian music legend Tex Perkins, dazzling newcomers on the cabaret block Frisky & Mannish, and Meow Meow have set high precedents for the new concept, selling out all their shows.
Acts to look forward to include Scottish comic Craig Hill, New York composer Lance Horne and musical theatre star Ian Stenlake, as well as our own Dallas Dellaforce and DJ Sveta.
Times for shows vary, but start late.

Support the Star Observer… while you still can
LGBTQIA+ media is under threat. Queer content is censored by tech conglomerates who amplify bigotry and push out AI slop — so we receive less financial support than ever.
When our community is muzzled and intolerance intensifies, we need queer media more than ever. Your donation means we can continue paying queer journalists to write queer news.
Don’t rely on the straight lies of big tech – support Star Observer instead and donate now.
