ECLIPSE AT ARQThe Eclipse party at Arq on Friday 21 July will see the whole venue plunged into darkness, so the only way to get around is to feel your way.

This will be a new party that will illuminate your senses, the blurb from the nightclub reads.

Expect the unexpected as special things happen in the dark.

We can only begin to imagine what those things might be, but it seems to include a number of spectacular light shows including an appearance by special guest performer Laser Man.

Music will be provided by DJs Matt Steer and Rob Davis. Entry is $10 from 10pm. The Star has a double pass to hand on to a lucky reader. Be the first person to email to pick it up.


A new production number starting at the Flinders Hotel on Saturday 22 July brings to life all things Dannii Minogue. Desperately Seeking Dannii stars Miss 3-D, Beyonce G Spot and Kirsten Damned.


Regular Dikes on Mikes favourite Denise Hanlon is promising a whole lot of camp classics -“ from Gloria Gaynor to Dusty Springfield and ABBA -“ at her first solo cabaret show The Bitch Can Sing on Friday. There’ll also be plenty of comedy, guest stars and maybe even audience participation. There’ll also be a gourmet barbecue.

The show is on 21 July at Manning Bar, Sydney University, from 7:30pm. Advance tickets cost $17 plus booking fee or it’s $20 on the door. Book on 9209 4614 or at the Moshtix website.


A few tickets are still available for a special preview show of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert at Star City Show Room on Friday 29 September.
