Grace Jones returning to Australia

Grace Jones returning to Australia

Legendary gay icon Grace Jones is returning to Australia in 2011 to perform at the Byron Bay Bluesfest.

It will be the first time the original Lady Gaga performed in this country since her breathtaking display of fashion, attitude and raw charisma at the 2009 Sydney Festival.

We suggest you can expect more of the same at Bluesfest next year!

The event, which runs from Thursday April 21 to Monday April 25, promises a show that is part musical tour de force, part runway fashion show and part theatrical drama full of outrageous extravagance.

Sounds good!

Festival director Peter Noble said, “A live showstopper, musical powerhouse, enigma and inspiration to so many artists from Annie Lennox to Lady Gaga, Grace Jones in concert is spectacular from first to last. There’s just nobody quite like her.”

Jones will be performing songs from her entire career including tracks from her 2008 comeback album Hurricane as well as classic hits like Pull Up to the Bumper (below) and Love Is The Drug.
