Paying Homage to the greats
Local LGBTIQ musicians play HOMAGE to their queer musical heroes in this cabaret tribute to our community’s trailblazers at Sidetrack Theatre during Mardi Gras season. The best young talent from Sydney’s music scene cover KD Lang, Antony & the Johnsons, Melissa Etheridge, Ricky Martin, Ani DiFranco, Gossip, the Village People, Dusty Springfield and so many more amazing artists.
Come together to record our history, celebrate our heroes, laugh and cry at the songs which are etched into the queer memory bank.
Every Saturday night five different bands will grace the blackcat lounge for a different collection of tunes and talent, classic hits and few undiscovered gems.
Artists include Lady Sings it Better, Genevieve Chadwick, Brett Every, Brendan Maclean, Maxine Kauter Band, Tom Sharah, Joanna Leigh, Lauren LaRouge, ali hughes and more.
