CONDOM and lubricant brand Durex has been announced as the latest official partner of this year’s Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

To tie-in with the partnership, Durex is encouraging couples to join the likes of Liberal City of Sydney councillor Christine Forster and her partner Virginia Edwards and shout out about the number of years that they have been in a committed relationship.

Couples are invited to Durex’s Facebook page to upload image of themselves and are asked to “wear your love with pride” by pledging their ‘Years of Commitment’ to a unique counter.

All couples who participate will also have the chance to win one of 25 places on the first ever Durex Mardi Gras float at next month’s parade.

Durex hosted a stall at last weekend’s Mardi Gras Fair Day at Victoria Park where over 3,500 couples, including Forster and Edwards, pledged their years of commitment at a specially set-up photo booth.

Another Durex photo booth will be present at the Mardi Gras Harbour Party on February 22.
