Stringing together a session
Liz Stringer will return to the Play Lika A Girl sessions on Tuesday, March 29. One of the event’s staunch supporters, she performed at the launch in March 2007 and as special guest at a number of jam sessions.
Now in their fifth year, Play Like A Girl sessions are held on the last Tuesday night of each month at the Cornish Arms Hotel, Brunswick.
Each session features a special guest artist, who performs a set from approximately 7.30pm-8pm. After the guest artist’s set, other women musicians who wish to perform can go on stage for up to two songs each.

Support the Star Observer… while you still can
LGBTQIA+ media is under threat. Queer content is censored by tech conglomerates who amplify bigotry and push out AI slop — so we receive less financial support than ever.
When our community is muzzled and intolerance intensifies, we need queer media more than ever. Your donation means we can continue paying queer journalists to write queer news.
Don’t rely on the straight lies of big tech – support Star Observer instead and donate now.
