Camp Co-op’s spring session

Camp Co-op returns this Tuesday, October 9, with a special spring session.

The free event aimed at networking, skill sharing and support between board and committee members of LGBTIQ community organisations is held at the beginning of every season and gives the diverse LGBTIQ organisations the chance to connect with other board and committee members, and share their experiences.

This season, the event is being hosted by the Star Observer and will focus on two main topics – ‘Tips and tricks for preparing your Mardi Gras float’ and ‘Tools for strategic planning’.

“The first part of [Camp Co-op] is to share the knowledge and wisdom of our community through a mix of roundtable discussions, presentations and speeches,” Star Observer chair Daniel Bone said.

“The second part is a free-flowing opportunity mingle, make new friends and share ideas with other committee and board members from right across our community, while enjoying a drink and a nibble.”

INFO: The event will take place Tuesday, October 9 at ACON (414 Elizabeth St, Surry Hills). Registration opens at 6.15pm, with the event beginning at 6.45pm.
