Board and committee members, and leaders of Sydney’s LGBTQI community organisations come together this month for the Camp Co-Op Board Development Day.

Successful Boards will be presented by the director of training and development at Our Community, Patrick Moriarty, and is supported by City of Sydney, ACON and the Star Observer.

With an aim to help attendees build a sustainable organisation, the morning session will focus on better meeting management and the second part of the session will look at how boards and committees can develop a framework to improve an organisation and leave them in a better place.

The process will be a hands-on session where attendees identify what makes a sustainable organisation and where are the gaps.

The conference is held on Saturday, January 21 from 10am-3pm at ACON’s new headquarters on 414 Elizabeth St, Surry Hills.

It’s $15 to take part (covers the cost of light refreshments).
