Footy fundraiser kicks off

The lesbian coaches of the Convicts – Bronnie Mac and Louise Ferris – are hosting Footylicious at Slide this Friday night, May 21, to help cover travel costs to Minnesota next month with the Convicts to defend their Bingham Cup title.
Bronnie coached them to victory two years ago and Louise has come on board this year – between them, they’ve played some 40 test matches for the Australian Women’s Rugby team, the Wallaroos.
The night will have some competitions between the codes, auction items and performances from the likes of Maxi Shield, Deb Jackson, Vixen Noir, Lulu Burlesque as well as Dessicated Simpson and her Coyotes. 7:30pm for an 8:30pm show, tickets $20 presale or $25 on the door.

Support the Star Observer… while you still can

LGBTQIA+ media is under threat. Queer content is censored by tech conglomerates who amplify bigotry and push out AI slop — so we receive less financial support than ever.

When our community is muzzled and intolerance intensifies, we need queer media more than ever. Your donation means we can continue paying queer journalists to write queer news.

Don’t rely on the straight lies of big tech – support Star Observer instead and donate now.
