Pride and protest
Brisbane’s Lesbian and Gay Pride Choir will present an evening of pop classics at West End’s Kurilpa Hall on May 26 from 7.30pm.
Songs such as the Eurhythmics’ Sweet Dreams are Made of This, the Carpenters’ We’ve Only Just Begun and Richie Valens’ La Bamba will be featured alongside the Australian premiere of The Colour of His Hair, a powerful protest song arranged especially for the choir by Michael Browne. Tickets on the door.
