Take a bite of TasPride
It’s nearly TasPride time again, and the annual Apple Isle festival for the LGBTI community has added new events to its perennial favourites in 2011.
Much-loved TasPride regular Dolly Diamond will kick off the opening weekend with her one-diva live cabaret show, Dolly Diamond: More Than A Woman and the Halloween Party is back, with the costume theme ‘Cute as Hell’.
The annual Quiz Night will also return, this year hosted by Beauty and the Bear host Miz Ima Starr.
This year, the festival will close with not one but three events. The Pride Parade through the streets of Hobart will be followed by a performance by the Talking Poofy Boys that evening and a closing night party hosted by Skittle.
TasPride runs from October 29 – November 5.
