Frosty reception for Fruits
The 2010 Frosty Fruits Ski Trip drew gay and lesbian skiers from Sydney, Melbourne, Tasmania and as far away as Perth to Mount Hotham for a long weekend of fun on the slopes in late August.
The Fruits were in luck, with Hotham receiving its best August snowfall since 1992, and amongst the skiing, there was also time for dog-sledding, plenty of partying and even a Sunday spa session in an authentic onsen.
Dates for the 2011 event, which is already taking bookings, are August 18 to 21. Next year’s event will follow a similar format, but organiser Adam Bold also has a few new developments planned, including expansion of flight options direct to Hotham for both Sydney and Melbourne visitors.
