BDSM expert comes to Sydney

Erotic educator and BDSM professional Lee Harrington returns to Australia in November for a series of workshops to promote safe kinky play.

Harrington, who has performed at the Hellfire club, was asked to return as a teacher by personal development counsellor Loreen Visser who was concerned by what she saw in the fetish scene.

After attending a show in Melbourne in which her partner was splattered with blood from a bullwhip, Visser contacted Harrington to spread the word about spirituality in sex.

“I’ve lived through what I consider was the worst of the AIDS epidemic, and lost my brother and 33 friends in 18 months in Melbourne. I lived in San Francisco before that, and I can’t describe it. All the lesbians turned into an army, nursing our brothers,” Visser told Sydney Star Observer.

“I had a deep reaction when I saw all of this unsafe stuff going on. Reading Harrington’s articles I thought, ‘I’m not going to sit and watch another epidemic or psychological meltdown, I’m going to inject some spirituality’. ”

Harrington, a transman, author and shaman, has been part of the American alternative sexuality community for over a decade and has run tutorials in bondage and spirituality.

He will begin his tour in Melbourne on November 27, and will present workshops in Sydney on the Kama Sutra and bondage and sacred kink from December 4-6.
