Bisexuals meet up in Mornington

Bisexuals living on the Mornington Peninsula will no longer have to travel into Melbourne with questions and stories about their sexuality.

Bisexual Alliance Victoria (BAV) will hold monthly group discussions outside of the Melbourne CBD for the first time, while continuing with its regular Melbourne meetings. The meetings allow bisexuals to meet face-to-face and share experiences.

The new night, Peninsula Bi Chat, will meet at 7.30pm on the second Thursday of each month on the Mornington Peninsula although a permanent venue has not been announced.

BAV committee member Rowan Dax said the group talked about whatever was important to the people who attended.

“People can come along with questions, or they might want to talk about the things going on in their lives or just to listen to the stories of others,” Dax said.

BAV meetings have been held in Melbourne since 2006.
