Brisbane Pride has announced the headliners for their 2026 Fair Day, Queensland’s biggest LGBTQIA+ community celebration featuring live entertainment, drag, music, community performances, food, markets, and stalls.

The riotous event, to be held from 10am at New Farm Park on Saturday 24 October, will officially star ARIA Award-winning dance-pop icon Joanne, alongside RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under stars Vybe and Coco Jumbo. The event will also feature host Paul Wheeler, alongside Brisbane drag legend Miss Synthetique.

“What a celebration we have planned,” said Brisbane Pride President James McCarthy. “Joanne is an absolute icon of Australian dance-pop, while Vybe and Coco Jumbo are among the most exciting stars to emerge from Drag Race Down Under. And of course, Brissie legends Miss Synthetique and Paul Wheeler are the perfect way to round out this iconic event.”

Joanne, whose 1998 smash hit Jackie became an enduring dancefloor anthem and earned her an ARIA Award for Highest Selling Single, is expected to bring her unmistakable pop and dance energy to the Fair Day stage. And while this year’s headliners are nothing short of stars, their participation in Fair Day, however glamorous, will be nothing short of activism.

Fair Day Is About LGBTQ+ Visibility

“Fair Day is one of those extraordinary days when our whole community gets to come together in one place – to celebrate, to make new connections, to see old friends and, importantly, to be visible,” Mr McCarthy said.

“This year, we are incredibly excited to bring the Brisbane Pride Rally, March and Fair Day back to New Farm. We start with a rally around the issues and the causes that matter to our community, we march, and then we come together to celebrate.”

Indeed, Fair Day will be preceded by Brisbane Pride’s official Pride Rally, which will gather in front of the Empire Hotel, Fortitude Valley, at 9.30am before marching to New Farm Park to partake in the Fair Day celebrations.

“Pride has always been both protest and celebration,” said McCarthy. “We march because there is still work to do, and we celebrate because we have achieved so much together.

“At a time when LGBTQIA+ people continue to face attacks on our rights, our identities and our visibility, it is more important than ever that we show up for one another. The Rally and March are our opportunity to make that collective voice heard.”

Fair Day tickets are available through the Brisbane Pride website.
