British PM wants gay kiss ban
Reports this morning suggest British Prime Minister David Cameron wants to restrict same-sex kisses on television to late-night adult viewing hours.
UK tabloid The Sun reports that the Conservative leader supports a ban on same-sex kisses during the “pre-watershed” viewing hours before 9pm. An independent review may recommend the restriction.
The reports have raised the ire of at least one well-known Brit. Brooke Vincent, who plays lesbian Sophie Webster on the soap opera Coronation Street, used Twitter to accuse Cameron of not supporting equality.
“I swear David Cameron’s meant to be supporting equal rights. I just think if same-sex kisses are what he is prioritising and concentrating on changing, our country’s in trouble,” she tweeted.
Vincent has repeatedly issued her character to back UK gay activists campaigning for equality, vehmently denying media claims her character’s on screen lesbian affair was a phase.
Another reason to hate Cameron, something I do not need. He is an absolute waste of space and should be kicked out of Downing Street. Its having upper class tosh like this that ruins life in Great Britian. To allow this ban to haoppen would be like jumping back 20 years. I am hopeful that Gay activists as well as the human rights commitee will be up in arms about this. I am really angry about hearing this news this morning. With all thats going on in the world he is obsessing about the wrong things. Someone smack him please!

absolutely rediculous
The story is a beat-up (and was also on “The Advocate” website this morning).
It relates to an independant report that proposes limiting all sexually suggestive conduct before the 9pm watershed – that includes both hetero and same-sex kissing.
If they want to ban “GAY KISSING” then they need to ban “ALL KISSING” on TV
This story is based on a story in the UK press which is actually complete twaddle.
This is utter rubbish and terrible journalism. He’s made no comment regarding it and the review is independent, not commissioned by the government.
I guess Cameron is afraid someone will see his crotch when he sees a gay kiss. Instant levitation.
But there is hope – in the USA evangelical minister Ted Haggard a couple years ago was always ranting aginst gays from the pulpit. then his male prosttitute friend recognized and outed him.
Then he was “christian cured” (he he he). And then caught with a 20 year old boy.
Just a couple days ago, Haggard finally came completely out of the closet and said he supports gay marriage.
Not sure if he is still preaching.
