Jennifer Hudson to sing Whitney tribute

Dreamgirls star Jennifer Hudson will sing a tribute to Whitney Houston at the Grammy Awards in the US today (Sunday US time), producers have announced.

“She’s a good friend of the Grammys,”Grammys executive producer Ken Ehrlich told CBS News.

“She’s had some very significant appearances on the show. It felt right to ask to her to come and help us honor Whitney, which she will do musically.”

In 2009, Houston presented Hudson with her Grammy for Best R&B Album.
