Seattle-based rock band The Juliettes have released a video for their charity single Hooray, You’re Gay, which hopes to raise money for the It Gets Better project.

The cheerful GLBTI anthem spouts the following philosophy on homosexuality: “It isn’t hurting marriage, it isn’t hurting kids, it isn’t like it’s sinful, don’t know why anyone would think it is.”

It’s a message the band wants to share with as many people as possible.

“We want the song to inspire celebration and improve the discourse – it’s not just okay to be gay,” says lead singer Julie Mains. “It’s freaking fabulous!”

The video is a low budget affair but shows the girls rocking out on stage before partying with a group of their gal pals.
