Convicts get rugger buggered

The boys from the Sydney Convicts -“ Australia’s first and most successful gay rugby club -“ will get their gear off at the Midnight Shift this weekend.

Rugger Bugger: Wet will feature the players doing the Full Monty to raise funds for a trip to next year’s Bingham Cup in New York.

Last year’s Rugger Bugger raised more than $8,000 for the team’s England tour, where they became the world’s number three ranked gay rugby team.

Saturday’s show will be hosted by the Star’s own Maxi Shield with DJ Baby Bear providing the tunes.

Doors open at 8pm and ticket sales until 10pm will go to the Convicts. Tickets are available from the Shift or on the door for $20. Visit www.sydneyconvicts.org for more information.
