The City of Sydney is aiming to build the skills of community organisations by providing free governance training.

As part of its Connect Sydney program, it will hold a workshop on how to win grants on Monday, February 27, 9.30am-1pm, at Redfern Town Hall.

In the workshop, organisations will develop the tools to write successful submissions for any grant.

These include effectively presenting proposals; developing an organisational template; determining the best grants for a project; write proposals; tailoring proposals to multiple grantmakers; developing winning project plans and budgets; and meeting different requirements from different sources.

The workshop is also an opportunity for community organisations to network.

Contact Michelle Thomas at mithomas@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au or on 02 9246 7878 to lodge an expression of interest in attending. Numbers are limited.

A light lunch will be provided after the training. Please advise organisers if you have any special dietary requirements.
