THE Sydney branch of the Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbian and Gay (PFLAG) children will hold its first family support meeting for the new year on Saturday, January 25.

Commencing at 2pm, the meeting will be held at The Wesley Lodge Motel, corner of Hawkesbury and Queens roads at Westmead in Sydney’s west.

This PFLAG branch is the only one catering to the greater Sydney metropolitan area, in particular western Sydney.

People from all suburbs and even country areas come to their meetings.

PFLAG provides support to family members who may be distraught after learning of their loved ones’ sexuality and work to keep families together.

The group is run by volunteers and they receive no outside or government funding.

For details, call Judy on 0439 466 125 or Narelle on 0401 699 298.
