Packed to the Rafters

Packed to the Rafters

Why is it that all of a sudden life is travelling so fast? It’s not like I am ‘dating’ more than three men at the moment, my working hours have been steady and I’ve lost no more hair than usual… It must be the weather.
I can’t believe we have just had the long weekend! I missed Sleaze for another year and heard all about the shenanigans via the grapevine. It seems that even without my presence there was a plethora of western Sydney drag sluts throwing themselves around. God bless.
If only they possessed the same skills I did — notably in the back lane behind the Flinders. But is seems those days are now long gone with the closure of the premises. Sigh.
The good old days…
But fortunately there are other things to keep me entertained as the days zip by. It is already time for another instalment of Heaven. On Saturday October 10 we debut our newest cast member, Miss Laydee Kinmee!
I have on good authority she knows the choreography better than Lola and is looking to be a great addition to the team. No doubt she’ll break a leg on the night when I push her off the stage. Oops!
This coming weekend is jam-packed with Sunday being the day all western Sydney queers head to Area 23 at Parramatta Park for ‘Picnic in the Park’. This will be the third annual event and we are praying to Judy that the sun holds out.
Last year was a smash with hundreds of patrons, and me breaking my heels while competing in the tug-of-war. I’m convinced I will see even more ex-trade this year and undoubtedly my ex-girlfriend.
If all that was enough excitement out west for you for October — then stop reading.
On Saturday October 17 we have Pollys doing it the French way with ‘Ooh Lah Lah’ produced by Terry and featuring the Pollys cast and live singer Billy Loftus. This is going to be a great evening. I will offer a workshop on the night on how to French kiss — it will be located in cubicle two. Entry to my workshop is free.
We also have Lesbian Fair Day on Sunday October 25 in Campbelltown from 11am at 2 Bugden Place. This is a new event run by WILMA. If you are interested in participating in any way e.g. a stall, workshop, wearing flannel and work boots, etc, then please contact [email protected].
Lastly this month we have DIVA! Reborn and heading towards new roots at the Bourbon in Kings Cross on Monday October 26. I am sure to run into some of my old roots — assuming they are not dead of old age. Why not come and enjoy this relaunch back to the days when I was glamorous and far thinner.
Drag gossip: Which western Sydney drag queen got so annihilated at Sleaze she had to crawl to a taxi as the sun rose sporting bloodshot eyes and a rather sore derriere… She then fobbed off rehearsals to nurse her party wounds.
Until next time gorgeous!
