Pink Pounders – Disco Discharge
The gayest release so far in the already-pretty-gay Disco Discharge series, Pink Pounders is a two-CD collection of rare and forgotten disco cuts from the hedonistic, pre-AIDS era of gay life. No clichéd Village People or Gloria Gaynor hits here: instead, you get spaced-out gay anthems like the Passengers’ 10-minute-plus Hot Leather or Divine’s gravel-voiced grunt on Shake It Up.
