Queer erotica collections out now

Australian print-based queer publisher banQuetpress has released its latest anthologies of LGBTI short stories, poetry, art and photography.

The dual titles, A Feast of New Writing by Queer Men and A Feast of New Writing by Queer Women, collate the work of new, often previously unpublished queer writers and artists.

Established in 2009, banQuetpress’ first publication, banQuet 2010, was an anthology of art and writing by queer Australian women. In 2011, banQuet launched publications by both queer men and women.

BanQuet’s mission is to “create publishing opportunities for emerging and recently established queer Australian writers and artists and to provide Australian queer readers stories with a local flavour”.

Owned and operated by Laura Dettori and Deanne Carson and financially supported by the editors and queer community fundraising events, banQuetpress publishes anthologies, hosts spoken word performances and holds Writing Dirty Words workshops for authors.

The titles are available from Hares & Hyenas in Melbourne, The Bookshop in Sydney or online via the banQuetpress website.
