Stingers season starting soon

Fresh from the Copenhagen Games, the Sydney Stingers are looking for new members to join them in their summer season tournament.
The water polo team is using this season to prepare for the 2010 Gay Games in Cologne and is aiming to come out on top.
The summer season begins October 13 and runs until early March. The team plays the Sydney metropolitan competition Tuesday nights, competing against other Sydney clubs.
Members need reasonable swimming ability. Training sessions are tailored to accommodate the various skills and experience levels of members.
The Stingers compete at international events where they attract attention for being from Down Under. They have participated in several Gay Games and International Gay and Lesbian Aquatics Games, as well as the Copenhagen Outgames in July.
The club is also well-known for its social life, gaining attention during Mardi Gras for parading in club Speedos. Team socialising events include post-training and post-game meals.
The club is a supporter of Sleaze Ball and is offering a double pass to Sleaze Ball: Game On. Details are available at the Sydney Stingers website.

info: Training sessions Saturday mornings 9.45am-11.30am at the Olympic Pool, Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre. To become a member, or if you’re interested in sponsoring the Sydney Stingers, visit www.sydneystingers.org.au.
