World’s first LGBTQI digital job fair

World’s first LGBTQI digital job fair

For the first time, job seekers will have the opportunity to get to know employers online who have a corporate culture that is open towards LGBTQI people.

Aimed at school pupils, students, and graduates as well as young and senior professionals, fifty-seven companies will participate including Volkswagen, Vodafone, Deutsche Bahn, Charité, Bayer, SAP and White & Case are among the first exhibitors.

“We are noticing that many employers in the Corona crisis are focusing on digital events. They also understand that diversity is an important factor in recruiting and retaining talents, even during the crisis. With the digital Sticks & Stones we would like to ensure that the opportunity to participate in the fair is open to job seekers who cannot attend our physical events in Berlin & Munich – for example because they cannot travel from other parts of Germany, they are unable to attend the dates or they are currently in quarantine due to the Corona crisis,” says Stuart B. Cameron, founder and CEO of Sticks & Stones.

Participants have the opportunity to visit the booths for one week, from 23rd to 29th June. In addition to the main fair day called “Access All Areas”, there will be one fair day each for specific target groups. Job seekers can log in to the fair from anywhere with their smartphones, tablets, laptops or computers.

Since the entire LGBTQI community and also the cultural industries in Germany are strongly affected by the Corona crisis, up to 50 employers from the LGBTQI community, the arts and the cultural industry will be offered a free booth at Sticks & Stones Digital.

The fairgrounds and booths will be displayed virtually, as visitors are guided intuitively through the fair and directly exchange with exhibitors via live chats. On the virtual fair stands, the exhibitors’ offers are presented in multimedia with the help of videos, picture galleries, links, or other interactive formats.

With its focus on the LGBT+ and straight allies community, the event gives a special platform for companies and employers to take a clear stand on the issues of diversity, appreciation and tolerance in the workplace.

Sticks & Stones Digital, the world’s first LGBTQI virtual job fair will take place from 23rd to 29th June.  LGBTQI friendly employers can still register before 1st June 2020. Visitors can now register for the fair at www.sticks-and-stones.com.
