G Flip’s Margaret River show was cancelled just hours before they were due to take the stage on Saturday, with heavy rain leaving the Western Australian venue unsafe.

The Australian singer and drummer broke the news to fans on Instagram, sharing their disappointment alongside footage of the waterlogged site.

“Sad to announce the show today in Margaret River, WA has been cancelled due to adverse weather and unsafe conditions at the site,” they wrote.

G Flip also confirmed ticket holders would receive refunds.

“Refunds will be processed next week,” the post continued.

“I’m so sorry everyone, I’m gutted to not perform tonight and I can’t wait to come back to WA soon.”

The accompanying video showed water covering the grass in front of the stage as rain continued to fall. The Bureau of Meteorology forecast up to 25mm of rain for the region on Saturday.

The cancellation comes just days after G Flip and Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause announced their separation after four years together.

In their Instagram statement, G Flip said they would always “cherish our memories together deeply”, adding that “my head and my heart are feeling very heavy right now”.

“After 4+ years Chrishell and I are no longer together. I will always love her, we will always share a special connection and I cherish our memories together deeply ❤️” they wrote.

“My head & heart are feeling very heavy right now and I’m not able to talk but I want to thank you all for your support and appreciate you respecting our privacy at this difficult time.”

Stause also shared an emotional video, saying she still loved G Flip and “didn’t have all the information or reasons” for the split.

Saturday’s cancellation follows a busy period for the Melbourne-born musician, who recently performed at the AFL Grand Final alongside Kylie Minogue.

Their 2026 Australian tour announcement included shows across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, with The Beaches and Ayesha Madon joining the bill.

In June 2025, they gave the Weather Girls’ classic It’s Raining Men a non-binary makeover for MTV Live’s Queer Music Week, performing it as It’s Raining Them.
