ZONOSCOPE – CUT COPY

ZONOSCOPE – CUT COPY

It’s been three long years since Melbourne lads Cut Copy’s last album, In Ghost Colours, but Zonoscope is worth the wait. First single Take Me Over, with its virtually identical intro to Fleetwood Mac’s classic Everywhere, sits alongside Hearts On F

ire and Saturdays as one of the band’s most infectious, radio-ready singles. Overall, the mood seems sunnier than that of In Ghost Colours, with occasional excursions into ’60s psychedelia (the rollicking good fun of Where I’m Going) and ’80s electro (Pharaohs & Pyramids, which would’ve sounded right at home soundtracking a teen movie in 1982).

Support the Star Observer… while you still can

LGBTQIA+ media is under threat. Queer content is censored by tech conglomerates who amplify bigotry and push out AI slop — so we receive less financial support than ever.

When our community is muzzled and intolerance intensifies, we need queer media more than ever. Your donation means we can continue paying queer journalists to write queer news.

Don’t rely on the straight lies of big tech – support Star Observer instead and donate now.
