Camp Out has a pre-camp meet up for interested campers, their parents and guardians on Sunday 19 August 2012 at Marrickville Youth Resource Centre, (corner Yabsley Ave and Northcote St Marrickville). Come chat with past year’s campers and the camp organisers, and find out more about Camp Out, which will be held September 24-29.

Camp Out is an annual camp for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer (LGBTIQ), and sex and/or gender diverse teens, same sex attracted, curious and questioning teens and their allies aged 13-17 based in NSW Australia.

From late October, ACON will host free training and workshops throughout southern NSW on safer relationships and a variety of mental health programs designed to help you navigate your own health and assist others. Workshops will be held across the region, beginning in Kiama before moving to Wagga Wagga and returning to the Illawarra. More details will be out soon and places are limited.

Viva La Gong is also coming up again, so if you’re interested in participating in the community parade or helping out on the stall, now is the time to start getting organised! It would be great to see lots of locals come out to represent the community in 2012. Viva is lots of fun, with food and activities running into the evening!
