Freddie for a day

Freddie for a day

Feel like dressing up like iconic Queen frontman Freddie Mercury? Well, September 5, 2011 is your day.

Freddie For A Day is an annual global event that celebrates the life of Freddie Mercury – the powerful vocalist behind hits like Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are The Champions, Don’t Stop Me Now, Crazy Little Thing Called Love and We Will Rock You.

In addition to remembering a much loved gay icon, the event raises money to support the fight against HIV/AIDS around the world.

If you want to be involved all you have to do is dress like Freddie on September 5 and get friends and family to sponsor you.

Freddie For A Day began in the UK through an AIDS charity set up in Freddie’s memory.

This will be the first time Australia takes part with all donations going to the AIDS Trust of Australia.
