Awkward Thai sexual health testing message

IN Thailand same-sex sexual health organisation apcom.org have created a new series of online videos aimed at the gay male population in an effort to encourage regular HIV testing.

One of the videos, Birthday Surprise, caught the eye of the Star Observer team with its painfully awkward but hilarious outcome.

The video is set around a teenage boy who is accidentally caught by his family masturbating to gay porn as they burst into his room with a birthday cake and streamers.

The video’s message is “there are more awkward things than getting tested”, before to cutting to a montage of shots of the teenager getting tested (without any awkwardness involved).

TestBBK writes under the video:

“This moment would be every young man’s nightmare growing up.

“Whether you’re single, in a new relationship, part of a couple or enjoying the company of many, whether you like to suck or prefer to fuck, we all need to take care of our sexual health and wellbeing.

“At TestBKK, we’re here to tell you more about the process of getting tested, ensuring you have the information you need to make the choices that are right for you and the people you play with.”

Support the Star Observer… while you still can

LGBTQIA+ media is under threat. Queer content is censored by tech conglomerates who amplify bigotry and push out AI slop — so we receive less financial support than ever.

When our community is muzzled and intolerance intensifies, we need queer media more than ever. Your donation means we can continue paying queer journalists to write queer news.

Don’t rely on the straight lies of big tech – support Star Observer instead and donate now.
