Released just in time for the event, A B Gayle’s self-published tome ran into some trouble thanks to its title, a phrase which New Mardi Gras has copyrighted for Australia.
Gayle settled the dispute by offering to donate 50 percent of her profits to Mardi Gras. The book itself is a gay romance set against the backdrop of the parade, with 50-year-old author Damien arriving in Sydney to find Simon, a young Australian guy, as his tour guide.
