  1. its good to have a go at me peter i hope you enjoyed that,at least we have been the only people to organise such and event in the North East of victoria, but as gabriel said above all rural events didnt make it,and chillout should be up there its the biggest rural gay festival in australia. So anyway we wish everyone the best and that Also continues.rural Victorians do not receive the gay magazines, and most dont know who also are.Anyway have fun everyone

  2. And the most under appreciated rural GLBTI event goes to the Dayelsford Chillout

    (applause)

Well thank you Melbourne for all your under-appreciation and low representation at what is a premier victorian LGBTI event.
An absolute Melbourne love festival these awards are, bugger anyone else who makes an effort in Victoria?!?

  3. Tim – sounds like you are just pissed at not getting nominated.
You sound like one of those bitter old queens that gives the rest of us a bad name.
Perhaps you should move to Sydney where you will fit in better! There’s plenty just like you there I hear.

  4. Tim,

The voting process is flawed and open to manipulation … ALSO would be better served not wasting the money on an awards night that is run by the usual suspects for there own egotistical end, Big Fish Little Pond. enough said.

  5. I have to say I disagree with you Sam. ALSO are hardly irrelevant. Last time I looked they were working on a number of government funded projects to make the community stronger and safer.
Getting the government to sit up and take notice of our community ain’t easy.
The awards are just another night on the calendar.
Whether you’ve been nominated or not. I’m pretty sure, even you Sam, could find something to celebrate.

  6. These Award things really are bogus and run by the usual suspects, The Also foundation is well and truly irrelevant in any case.

  7. Gary, these nominations are based on community votes. If your event failed to attract enough votes to make the final list then perhaps you should look at how your event is run in the future. There’s no need to take snide swipes in smart-arse comments like that above. How about being positive for those organisations that have been nominated?

  8. Gary,

These are all based on public Nominations and the highest noms get thru to the shortlist.
If events/people had co-ordinated themselves during the initial noms, then maybe they would up there instead of other more voted for events.
