The next UNITY Dance in Wollongong has arrived! Themed the Black and White Ball, it will be held at the Beaton Park Tennis Club, Gwynneville on Saturday, April 21 from 8pm.
The $10 entry fee includes free entry to Castros after the event and the bus to get you there at 12.30am.
Allsorts, Wollongong University’s queer collective, will host their annual Fair Day on the MacKinnon Lawn on Wednesday, April 18. This is a free event (though any donations will be gladly appreciated), and a great chance to meet the collective and get involved in the activities they have lined up in 2012.
Fair Day will involve music, cakes and delicious baked goodies, drag shows, a BBQ, live performances and the always hilarious lube slide!

Sexual health workshops, ‘It’s Out in the Open’, will be held for National Youth Week on April 18 and 20 in Wollongong and Nowra Youth Centres respectively, with ACON Illawarra’s Sexual Health Agents.
Our agents will also be found at Wollongong Youth Centre’s Creative Fair in Wollongong Mall from noon-6pm on Thursday, April 19, then again at Wollongong Youth Centre for the ‘Rap Up’ Festival at 3pm.
The agents then go to Nowra’s Marriott Park for their Youth Week Festival from 10am on Saturday, April 21.

The next bi-monthly Hume Phoenix dinner will also be on Saturday, April 21. This month it’s at La Porchetta (460 Dean St, Albury) from 7pm. Call the restaurant on 02 6021 0755, add yourself to the “Hume Phoenix” table and enjoy a great meal and conversation with friends.
Wollongong’s social group for gay and bi men over 30, ‘Gong Guys’, meets twice monthly on the first and third Saturdays at ACON Community Space, 18 Ellen St, Wollongong at 7pm.
