Hudson Williams’ latest television outing comes with a decidedly different kind of exposure.

The Heated Rivalry heartthrob stars in the supernatural thriller Yaga, now streaming in Australia on BINGE, where a graphic mortuary scene has proven to be more revealing than his steamy scenes fans have come to love.

Williams plays both missing fishing empire heir Henry Park and his strikingly similar housemate Logan Casey, going to great lengths for the startling scene.

In episode three, ‘A Good Boy’, Logan’s body is examined in a morgue, revealing that he has been castrated, proving most shocking for fans who were hoping to finally see more of Williams than they had so far on screen.

The sequence required a full body prosthetic suit, with Williams also spending time in the water to film his character’s washed up corpse.

Director David Frazee praised the actor’s patience during the transformation, which left him unable to use the bathroom while the prosthetics were attached.

“It was entertaining, but not a complaint out of that dude,” Frazee told Entertainment Weekly.

Co-director Rachel Talalay said the production negotiated with the network over how long the camera could linger on the injury. Frazee explained that several versions were filmed to give the editors options.

It is a large departure from Shane Hollander, the hockey player whose romance with Connor Storrie’s Ilya Rozanov made Williams a favourite among Heated Rivalry viewers.

With Yaga, Williams steps into a world of folklore, concealed identities and ancient magic, a long way from the ice rink.

Created by Kat Sandler from her stage play, the eight part series follows private investigator Rapp, played by Schitt’s Creek star Noah Reid, as he investigates Henry’s disappearance in the coastal town of Whittock.

Clark Backo plays local detective Carson, while The Matrix star Carrie-Anne Moss appears as Katherine, a charismatic university professor with a taste for younger men.

Broadcaster Bell Media describes the series as a contemporary reimagining of Baba Yaga, the enigmatic figure from Slavic folklore.

For Williams’ fans, the mystery offers twice the actor and considerably more nightmare material.

Yaga is streaming on BINGE.
