Bears’ world in art

Sydney’s Harbour City Bears will host its third Bears Artspace as part of this year’s Bear Essentials Mardi Gras program.

To be held at Monstrosity Gallery in Woolloomooloo, the theme of this years’ exhibition is ‘It’s a Bears’ World’ and, in keeping with the theme, artworks by Australian and international Bear artists will be showcased.

Monstrosity Gallery will be transformed into a Fur Gallery as 15 of the world’s most talented Bear artists exhibit their works — a diverse range of media from painting to photography to digital work to sculpture.

The exhibition is open from Monday, February 21 — Wednesday, March 2, 10am-6pm. Entry is free.

Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore MP will open the exhibition at a cocktail party launch at 6.30pm on Monday, February 21.

Support the Star Observer… while you still can

LGBTQIA+ media is under threat. Queer content is censored by tech conglomerates who amplify bigotry and push out AI slop — so we receive less financial support than ever.

When our community is muzzled and intolerance intensifies, we need queer media more than ever. Your donation means we can continue paying queer journalists to write queer news.

Don’t rely on the straight lies of big tech – support Star Observer instead and donate now.
