Dimitriades and Tsiolkas reunite
Alex Dimitriades, Sophie Lowe and Anthony Hayes have been announced as the final confirmed cast members for the ABC’s upcoming adaptation of The Slap. The actors complete a stellar cast including Melissa George, Sophie Okonedo, Essie Davis and, in his first Australian role, Jonathan LaPaglia.
Based on the 2008 novel of the same name by openly gay Melbourne author Christos Tsiolkas, the yet-to-be-filmed miniseries marks the second time Dimitriades has starred in a Tsiolkas adaptation, after his memorable turn in the 1998 film Head On.
