Mardi Gras Film Festival adds second surprise film to line up

A SECOND surprise film has just been added to the film line-up of the upcoming Mardi Gras Film Festival.

Brazilian film Seashore, directed by Marcio Reolon and Filipe Matzembacher, follows childhood friends Martin and Tomaz who take a trip together after the death of Martin’s grandfather to a secluded beach town.

Alone for the first time in a while, the teens share secrets, reveal old wounds and delicately explore what their friendship means — including the unspoken truth of being in love with a best friend.

The latest announcement from Queer Screen, organisers of the film festival, follows the first surprise announcement last week: Paris 05:59.

Seashore won three awards at the Rio De Janeiro International Film Festival, and has been nominated three times at three other film festivals around the world.
