Canberra is proud
Canberra’s sex and gender diverse community is getting ready for the warmer weather with some outside events during the SpringOut! Festival, held in Canberra’s GLBTI Pride month.
A Gender Agenda is Canberra’s peak trans and intersex organisation and the group will hold a community picnic on November 7 and will be marking the Trans Day of Remembrance on November 19.
A Gender Agenda spokesperson Gabrielle Hitch said it is important to include trans and intersex-friendly events during the festival.
“The sex and gender diverse community both needs and deserves fun, safe spaces to celebrate themselves during Canberra’s month of pride.”
SpringOut! runs until December 5.
