Gay Greeks mark 30 years
The Greek and Gay Support Network will be celebrating a combined 30 years of providing support and social services to Melbourne’s Greek gay and bisexual men and women.
The Greek Guys Group will mark its 17th birthday while the Greek Australia Lesbians (GALS) Group will celebrate its 13th birthday.
Hosted by drag performer Tabitha Turlington, the night will feature a live performance by internationally recognised singer Stelaras, belly dancers and drag shows.
Both the Greek Guys Group and GALS Group hold monthly meetings at the Victorian AIDS Council (VAC) centre. Both are open to gay and bisexual people with a Hellenic background.
The Greek and Gay Support Network’s combined birthday party usually attracts over 600 people each year.
