Sydney’s newest radio station, Star Observer Digital, has officially launched.

Star Observer Digital is a collaboration between not-for-profit Sydney radio station 2SER 107.3, Melbourneʼs gay and lesbian community radio station JOY 94.9 and the Star Observer.

Youʼll hear all your favourite party tunes in the lead up to Sydney Mardi Gras, as well as plenty of conversation about LGBTI issues.

You can tune in on your digital radio by going to Star Observer Digital or Star O as well as accessing the station through an online stream here.

Star Observer Digital is the first community radio digital pop-up station in Sydney, broadcast through 2SER alongside its usual digital programming.

Running for three weeks, it will be producing weekly morning shows 10am-midday from 2SER, playing JOY 94.9 programs such as the popular Two Fat Lattes, as well as exclusive digital content from 2SER including Gay Panic (pictured), The Besties and Quiz On My Face.

For those interstate or unable to make the big event, you can also hear 2SER and JOY 94.9’s annual joint broadcast of the Sydney Mardi Gras parade on Saturday, March 2.

“Weʼre very excited to have created this pop-up station on 2SERʼs digital stream and providing this service to the LGBTI community as well as delivering new and interesting content to digital
radio listeners,” 2SER managing director Melanie Withnall said.

Star Observer Digital will run from February 11-March 3 2013.
